"the Triple Niners"
First established in 1957, and reactivated in 2001, Rev. John J. Byrne Squires Circle is the "junior arm" of Robert W. Powell Council. They meet the Second and Fourth Wednesdays of the month at St. Martin de Porres School in Uniondale. All Catholic boys ages 10-17 in the greater Uniondale area are welcome to join. Triple Niner Jesus Ron has become the first Squire since the circle was re-activated to become a member of Robert W. Powell council. Congratulations-and welcome aboard, Jesus!
The 'niners have made their presence known in our parent Robert W. Powell Council's recent charitable and service endeavors. John AnthonyPillai helped out at the recent Free Throw tournament, and the following Triple Niners will be participating in St. Martha's upcoming Passion Play:

The 'niners have also done themselves proud recently helping out the parent Robert W. Powell Council in their recent St. Patrick's Dinner. Philomey Charles and Jesus Ron helped sell tickets outside St. Martha's for two weekends, and Philomey, along with Philip Charles and Matt Powell, helped out at the dinner itself. Thanks guys!
Not only are our Squires outstanding Catholic teenagers, but they're also leaders in the classroom, too! Congratulations to our boys on achieving Academic honors from Bishop Kellenberg High School: Clifford Charles (who also plays football for the Firebirds), Robert Bock, Alex Ticas, Kevin Costello Jr., and Jevan Raymond. Keep up the good work!
