Nominations Committee
It’s that time of year again. Time to think about your contribution to Powell Council. We’re not asking for money. We’re asking for your time.
We need officers for the coming Columbian year.
Have you ever read a Powellite or attended a meeting and say to yourself, “I can do that job. I can make a difference.” Well, here’s a golden opportunity for you. We need your help in keeping the council going. We need your talents. We need your presence. Stop by the American Legion Hall on meeting nights at 7 pm. Contact PGKs Bill Murphy DD or Mike Dragonetti. Let’s meet, and keep the council going.
Come on down to the K of C Kafe!
On the Second Friday of every month, Powell Council cooks and serves dinner at the American Legion. A complete meal for $5, and lots of laughs and good times. We've been doing this monthly social for over five years now, and it's one of our steadiest moneymakers. Our next Kafe will be on Friday, January 11th. We could also use cooks for future months. If you haven't been to one, give it a try! On the Second Friday of every month, starting at 7 pm at the Legion Hall, let Powell Council make your dinner plans! We could always use cooks, so if you can help, please Let us know!
Living rosary for the unborn
On Wednesday, March 19th, Powell Council will be having a living rosary for the unborn at the American Legion Hall. Please join us, and\:

Rebirth of Charlie's Angels
Powell Council would like to re-form Charlie’s Angels. When we had our own building, a group of seniors led by Charlie Maglienti would come in on Tuesdays and do whatever maintenance work needed to be done. This time around, we’d like to see if maybe a group would be interested in helping at the Oblate sisters, or if a brother Knight needed some repair work done. If you’re handy with a paint brush, saw, or hammer and nails, and would like to donate a little time, contact DD Bill Murphy or Grand Knight Gerry Boettcher.
Powell Council Softball

Phone prefect and E-mail lists
The Phone prefect list is now in effect. It's to keep members of Powell Council informed of wakes, meeting cancellations, or any news that can't wait for the next Powellite (and remember not all our members are online!)
GK Gerry Boettcher is the first contact, and he'll get the ball rolling. To find out more about the phone prefect list, see PGK Ray Caluori. Ray also wants to hear from Powell Council members who wish to be callers for the prefect list.
And an E-mail directory has also been established for Powell Council members. It's another great way to keep connected with Powell Council. If you're a Powell Council member, you should be in it!! Powell Council brothers, Contact Mike Dragonetti
". . . this E-Mail is great . . . I get the news of the Council and Uniondale . . . Keep up the good work, the Council Web page is terrrific."--PGK Jim Barry
" . . . this E-mail stuff is real cool. Hopefully more guys will get on line. This E-mail stuff will make it so much easier and efficient for the leaders and members of Powell Council to stay in touch with what is going on, and on a timely basis"--Frank Majewicz
"This E-mail correspondence is an excellent idea"--PGK Hank Baumann
