Have you been through the website lately? We've "tweaked' the design of the Council News Page, plus added our newsletter, the Powellite. In fact, you can now download back issues of the Powellite, and then some. We've also streamlined both the Wall of Worthies and Tempus Fugit pages.

More Council news can be found by click on "Council News" on the left. And in "Council News" you can download the latest Powellite!

We're Uniondale's council in the Knights of Columbus, the world's largest Catholic fraternal organization. The Knights, often called "the right arm of the Catholic Church," were founded by Rev. Michael J. McGivney in 1882.

"The Knights of Columbus are always there for us in good times and in bad . . . thank you (Knights) for all you do." -William F. Murphy, Bishop of Rockville Centre

Robert W. Powell council began on March 9, 1952. We serve Uniondale, St. Martha's Parish, and our country under the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. We meet at the American Legion Hall in Uniondale on the first and third Wednesdays of every month at 8:00 pm.

"(Knights of Columbus) represent the very best in Catholic manhood." -Rev. Anthony Heinlein, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Massapequa Park

All practicing Catholic men 18 years of age and older are encouraged to join the Knights of Columbus. Catholic boys between the ages of 10 and 18 in the Uniondale area are welcome to join our Squires Circle, Rev. John J. Byrne #999.

Our mailing address is P.O. Box 290, Uniondale, N.Y.11553, our phone number is (516) 481-2578. Our E-mail address is PowellCouncil@koc3488.com.

"The Knights of Columbus stand for what's clean, moral, wholesome, and effective in American manhood when that is crowned with the teachings of Holy Mother Church . . . " -Archbishop John Ireland, 1898

May God continue to bless our church, and our country.
