Grand Knight's Message

Spring is here.  As the flowers bloom, and we celebrate Pentecost, we  look for the Holy Spirit to guide our council through the rest of the fraternal year and to elect new leaders to continue bring success in the coming year.   At this time we also year recognize memorial day.  We remember all the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for our country.

We look forward to our annual Steak night on Wednesday June 16, 2010.  Once again we will celebrate the end our fraternal year and the start of a new one.  Come on down and enjoy some steak with your brothers.  I would also like to encourage everybody to come to our annual picnic on Saturday July 31, 2010.  Please note the change in location this year to Eisenhower Park.  Please see the flyer later in the Powellite.   As always if you can not make the picnic, please support us by buying raffle tickets.  Also later in the powellite are tickets that you can cut out and mail in with a check.  Please consider making a contribution.

There is also a resolution to change the monthly meetings from two meetings a month to one.  This will hopefully help more brothers to attend meetings.  We will be voting on this at steak night.  If you have any input, please come down and discuss it.

As always we are looking for more brothers to get involved or give me ideas of how to make this council better.  I have an open ear to all, please let me know if you can help.
