Lawrence W. "Butch" Micalizzi

Grand Knight, 1955-1956

Micalizzi was one of 18 Hempstead council members who became part of the Uniondale Formation Committee, who ultimately became Powell Council's charter members in March 1952. In May 1952 he took his fourth degree along with Rev. John J. Byrne and fellow Powell Council future Grand Knights Anthony DeLuca, Charlie Williams, and Bill Duschenchuk. Micalizzi was the Council's charter Recorder, a position he held under Grand Knights Jack Hamill and Charlie Williams. In June 1954 he was elected Deputy Grand Knight for Anthony DeLuca, and himself became Powell Council's Fourth Grand Knight in 1955. Later on, he would be appointed District Deputy.
