Grand Knight, 1954-1955

DeLuca was one of 18 Hempstead council members who became part of the Uniondale Formation Committee, who ultimately became Powell Council's charter members in March 1952. In May 1952 he took his fourth degree along with Rev. John J. Byrne and fellow Powell Council future Grand Knights Larry Micalizzi, Charlie Williams, and Bill Duschenchuk. DeLuca was the Council's charter Chancellor, a position he held under both Grand Knights Jack Hamill and Charlie Williams. In June 1954 he himself was elected Powell Council's Third Grand Knight. During his year Powell Council fielded two bowling teams, and both were trophy winners. PGK DeLuca passed away April 9, 1974, the same day as another Powell Council charter member, Conrad Ritter.
